Before we were The Gather Community, Gather was a physical space in downtown Santa Cruz. I'm Tracie Root, creator of The Gather Community, and I was inspired to create a space to bring friends, associates, clients and family together to learn, grow, and experience new things. My mission was to bring people together, for the good of all.

During the lockdown of 2020 +, we had some changes in our lives. It wasn't long before I realized that what's important is building community where we can. In The Gather Community, we are thriving by as we shifted our focus from renting one room in one town to supporting our members and the community at large exclusively online!

Even though events can be successfully in person now, we will gratefully be continuing our robust community offerings by holding and promoting online events with members from all around the globe.

Originating in Santa Cruz, California, The Gather Community takes on the vibe of its origin by being both unique and for everyone at the same time. Everything we do is based on support, encouragement, and uplifting others. Our core values include:

As the founder of The Gather Community, she took her own goal-getting advice by shifting in 2020 from holding and hosting in-person events in her “brick-and-mortar” space to creating a nationwide community of like-minded women who are growing and thriving together.
